Brief Description: The first panel discussion was held by AEE HTU as a part of the new events series “AEE Podium”. The panel consisted of three experts specialized in different areas: Eng. Sudki Hamdan, Eng. Ghaith Khzai, Eng. Samer Zawaideh. The panel was moderated by Asma Khasawneh. The discussion provided facts and numbers about EVs situation in Jordan, answered many concerns about EVs and e-mobility in general, explained the current regulations and strategies and how decision making affects the transition into green transportation, stated the challenges that face the energy and transportation sectors, provided recommendations from different perspectives, and stated the importance of green entrepreneurship and solutions. In addition to technical explanation of the current charging infrastructure, smart grids, and load management when EVs are integrated with the grid and many more topics related. Noting that potential jobs, required skills, and market work force needs were mentioned to encourage students in their fields.

Brief Description: A panel discussion was held by AEE HTU as a part of the AEE energy day. The panel consisted of 5 experts specialized in different areas: Eng. Muheiddin Tawalbeh, Eng. Ghaith Khzai, Eng. Samer Zawaideh, Eng. Saeed Essalaimeh, Dr. Rasmi Hamzeh. The panel was moderated by Eng. Hamzeh Buqaei. The panel discussion focused on the current state and future opportunities in the energy sector in Jordan. While there are rules and regulations in place, implementation has been slow, and there is a need for greater energy efficiency and environmental friendliness. Smart meters, renewable energy, and energy audit are among the solutions suggested to address this issue. The speakers emphasized the importance of skills and adaptability, and advised students to explore opportunities beyond their major and stay updated on new market needs. The creation of an energy market also presents an opportunity for growth.
