Overview

The Engineering Workshops aim to train students of the school of engineering technology and the school of contruction technology based on the use of technical tools and how to operate different machines and devices within three graded study courses. Each covers a certain level of skills, through the technical expertise working in it from specialized trainers and skilled technicians. Engineering workshops also provide the opportunities for university students from various disciplines to manufacture their projects and transform their ideas and designs into effective templates. Moreover, engineering workshops implement designs and research projects for students and teachers. The engineering workshops include (10) workshops that were equipped with the latest supplies and basic industrial equipment for the purposes of training the students and producing research projects.

ماكينة الدرفلة الالية و اليدوية
ثناية الصاج الالية و اليدوية
ماكينة لحام النقطة

Computer Numerical Control Workshop:

This workshop includes digital الخراطة والفريزة, where students are taught and trained in the CAD/CAM program, G-code, calibration of CNC machines and how to use these machines in the manufacturing process step by step.

Air conditioning and Refrigeration Workshop:

Students in this workshop are trained on dismantling and installing home air conditioners, welding copper pipes, how to collect them, identifying their diameters within the refrigeration cycle, understanding and identifying faults in air conditioners and how to maintain them.

Carpentry Workshop:

Students in this workshop are trained on various carpentry works using different manual and mechanical tools.

Metal Casting Workshop:

Students in this workshop are trained in how sand molds work, their preparation, their properties, and how to pour molten metal into a sand mold.

Building Workshop:

Students in this workshop are trained in the basics of construction, which includes brickwork, reinforcement, cement mixtures, tiles, brickwork and more.

Electrical Extensions Workshop:

In this workshop, students learn to read household electrical wiring diagrams and how to draw them, in addition to practicing home wiring from steering wheel, stairway lighting, timer, parallel, series, and others.

Plumbing and Central Heating Workshop:

The extensions of the sinks, mixers, showers, heaters and other workplaces are to be extended to the operator's area.

Student Projects Produced In The Workshop

MUV1:

It is a sterilization device using ultraviolet radiation that was developed and manufactured in engineering workshops, where this device is used to sterilize surfaces and air in a relatively short period of time, and it can be used in hospitals, airports, hotels and others.

Smart Sterilization Portal:

The smart sterilization gate was designed and manufactured in the engineering workshops, where the gate was designed to include sterilization of the entire body through sprayers distributed in a scientific manner and at angles that ensure high sterilization efficiency.

Split Air Conditioning Trainer:

It includes training models for the air conditioning and refrigeration operator, which enables the trainer to train students to dismantle and install home air conditioners, in addition to identifying faults and performing appropriate maintenance.

Linear Heat Transfer 1-D Apparatus:

This device measures the thermal conductivity of metals and shows the effect of the thermal conductivity on heat transfer.

Plate Heat Exchanger:

The device was manufactured in an initiative made in HTU, this device demonstrates the heat exchange efficiency of this type of heat exchanger in the Heat Transfer Laboratory.

Mini Jet Engine:

The prototype of the aircraft engine was designed and manufactured in engineering workshops, where this engine can be used for unmanned aircraft, for research, and others.
