Center for Professional Development, Community Engagement and Outreach

Education in Jordan has faced different challenges including growing number of graduated students, mismatch between skills of graduates and labor market requirements, lack of sufficient funding, and poor management of resources. Accordingly, a proper alignment of skills to secure employment opportunities is required to ensure that all skills required in the job market are being translated properly.

Pillar III of Al Hussein Technical University (HTU) which is the professional development, engagement and community outreach, introduces a new model in which experts and professionals from the industry would be involved in the education process with roles ranging from design of curricula to delivery of specialized soft skills and technical courses. With links and partnerships with major players in the regional and international industry this will allow students to develop competitive employability and increase their chances to find jobs.
